Our Coaches
My name is Karisa Franz, and I am super excited to be joining the coaching staff of the Virginia Oaks Sea Devils this summer! I am from St. Louis, Missouri. I began swimming at the age of four and developed a love for the sport. I swam for Virginia Tech and am an ACC finalist and NCAA qualifier. I am currently working as a private swim coach.
I have three brothers, two older and one younger. I am a dog mom to Luffy. He is a Frenchie and is very spoiled. I love working out, walking my dog, traveling, spending quality time with my friends and family. I love teaching kids how to swim and how to get faster by improving technique. I can’t wait to meet all of you this summer!
My name is Caleb Roach, and I'm so excited to be joining Virginia Oaks this summer! I started swimming when I was nine and just had a wonderful experience. I work at Occoquan Swimming where I am the lesson coordinator as well as a Developmental coach for the age group program. I am also an elementary teacher in Manassas Park. I have been there for three years. I have taught 1st and 2nd grade during my time at the school.
When I am not on deck or in the classroom. I am with my dog Goldie who is a golden retriever. I'm a huge Disney and Marvel fan. I am really looking forward to this summer! Summer swim is super special and a great place for all kids to feel included. I'm super excited and can't wait to start!
