Developmental Team
The 2026 Developmental program will run from June 15-July 17, 2026.
Your child must be 4 years old by June 1st and comfortable in the water to participate. Participants must be between the ages of 4 and 8 years old. This program is for those children who are not quite able to swim 25 meters across the pool and/or are not yet ready for the Competitive Team. However, they must be able to comfortably put their face in the water.
The Developmental Team is typically split into three groups, based on skill level. Participants will be evaluated prior to the start of this program for skill level and placement. The practices are ONLY in the morning.
The Developmental Team season ends with a mini-meet and awards ceremony. This special event is an opportunity for our new swimmers to showcase the progress they made during season. They receive a true meet-like experience, complete with lane flags, cheering spectators, awards – and plenty of opportunities for photos!
We have three different practice levels:
- Developmental I: Just learning but comfortable putting their face in the water
- Developmental II: Getting close to breathing to the side
- Developmental III: Can almost swim the length of pool without assistance...just needs confidence.
Assessments will be held:
- June 15th Last Names A-M 9 - 9:30am, N-Z 9:30 - 10am
